However, the mint has also issued the Somalia Leopard since 2018 following the same format. On the obverse of 2024 Somalia Silver African Wildlife Leopards, the Bavarian State Mint features the Somali coat of arms. This image of the national seal includes a crowned shield with a field of horizontal lines and a single star at the center. The shield is supported on either side by a leopard and the field is encircled by a beaded border.

The reverse side of the 2024 1 Kilo Silver Leopard Coin comes with a depiction of two leopards. This year’s design features an adult leopard and its young cub seated on a rocky outcrop. As the pair sit perched on the rocks, the sun rises to the edge of the coin in the distance.
