The 2022 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Proof platinum 50p coin is one of several coins issued by The Royal Mint to honour the life and service of the late queen. This will be the first King Charles III platinum 50p coin issued in the UK.

As with all coins in the range, the obverse (front) of the coin features Martin Jennings’ portrait of King Charles III for the first time, making it a historic release. The reverse features a design created for the 1953 coronation crown designed by herald painter Edgar Fuller and modelled by Cecil Thomas.

This Proof fifty pence coin is struck in pure platinum (999.5) and weighs a total of 19.097g. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet.
