This box–set features 2 proof five-pound gold coins, also known as the ‘Quintuple-Sovereign’ or the ‘Crown’. It was released to commemorate the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics.
The reverse of the coins were designed by the Royal Mint‘s own senior designer, Claire Aldridge. The obverse portraits of Queen Elizabeth II were produced by Ian Rank-Broadley.
This £5 gold coin set comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity, and is protected in a smart London 2012 box.
